Omega One releases major
new version of Battery Pack 2003
- John Wade
Battery
Pack is the leading utility application for Pocket
PCs and continues to meet its goal of being “The
Only Pocket PC Utility You Will Ever Need.”
The new version of Battery Pack updates
several of the wide range of essential utilities not included
as part of the Windows CE operating system. These include:
· Battery Bar - providing detailed
information on remaining battery life
· Program Bar - up to 60 program shortcuts
right on your Today screen
· Power Clean - reclaim space by removing
unwanted files automatically
· Power Task - Speed up performance
by closing slowly running programs
· Power Bars - Battery, memory &
storage card information viewable from any program
· Power Alert - Customize your alerts
for more control of your alarms
· Power Adjust - Alter system settings
like Cleartype, fonts and time on the title bar
· Power Store - Provides detailed
battery, memory and storage card information
· Power Light - Allows you to use
your Pocket PC as a flashlight
Added to Battery Pack are our latest features
Power Task, Power Bars and Power
Alerts allowing much more control over task and alert
management functions. The Power Task button
functionality can be reversed, so tapping it closes a program,
tap & hold minimizes it. Power Bars allow
your Pocket PCs vital statistics to be displayed on the title
bar, so they can be viewed from any program. The Power
Alerts, which provide customizable alerting capabilities,
is also proving popular with initial users.
